Jina (they/she) is a design systems advocate. At Asana, they manage the designers on the design system team.

They founded Clarity, manage the Design Systems Slack, and co-chair the W3C Design Tokens Community Group.

Jina leads the brand and website design and development on the Sass core team and is recognized as a Web Technologies expert in the Google Developers Experts program. Jina co-authored the Design Systems Handbook (DesignBetter.Co by InVision), Fancy Form Design (SitePoint), and The Art & Science of CSS (SitePoint).

Design tokens on Asana's Design Systems team

This talk is about how the Asana Design Systems team uses design tokens to get designers and engineers working at the same level of abstraction. We will talk about how Figma’s design system tooling, along with design tokens, enables us to make the redundant parts of designing more streamlined so that we can focus on solving design problems.
